Thank you for personalizing this experience and following up with me. That means a lot. We're looking forward to receiving the chairs and other items. I'll stay in touch concerning follow up orders to furnish our cabin. More Testimonials > | Need to house a few sportsmen in your hunting lodge? How about quite a few hefty sportsmen? Or even the grandkids? These bunk beds are available in twin/twin, full/full and even queen/queen. Built to last, they are incredibly solid and secured with an impressive number of screws and bolts (please read our assembly instructions for more on the joy of putting this bed together!) The pictures really don't do justice to these wonderful Amish-built bunk beds, hand-crafted from white cedar wood. This design, which has been approved by the Bunk Bed Safety Commission, is solidly made of Northern White Cedar logs. These logs are approximately 4-6 inches in diameter. The beds are a creamy white color and have a true rustic beauty (for more about white cedar wood, see our "Wood Types" link on the left. The Twin over Twin option can be taken down and split into two twin beds. However, the Full over Full and Queen over Queen models are solid bunk beds and will not split into two beds. These Amish bunk beds have 100% wood frames and can be used with or without box springs. Many people do not use box springs with bunk beds because that allows more room between the bunks and over head. If you do not use box springs, you will need a bunky board to support the mattress or a bunky mattress. Bunky boards are boards that are placed in the bunkbed support the mattresses. Our bunky boards are premium one piece boards, very solid and strong for safety. The twin bunky boards are rated to hold an average adult up to 250 pounds, while the full and queen are rated to hold two adults. The twin and full bunky boards are fabric coated with black fabric on one side and gray fabric on the other side. You can purchase them from us, or make your own out of 3/4" plywood. Simply cut the plywood to the size of a standard size mattress for the size bed you are buying.
