This beautiful aspen "cedar" chest really does have a cedar lining, to give it that special "cedary" scent touch to your bedroom. Handcrafted from Rocky Mountain aspen logs, this cedar chest shows off the deep, elegant hues of the aspen wood. If you don't want a cedar lining, it can be removed.

Because of the uniqueness of each aspen tree, no two of these chests are exactly alike. The aspen logs are kiln-dried and hand-sanded before the chest is constructed. At the end it is finished with a protective layer of beeswax, linseed oil and other organic materials. The top also features an extra layer of polyurethane to protect it against a spill.

The color of our Bronze Aspen stain complements the natural tones in the aspen wood, and showcases a rich array of colors and character in each handcrafted, hand-stained piece of furniture. Table tops and flat surfaces show off the richness of the Bronze Aspen finish and enhance the color variations. Any of our existing or customized Mountain Woods Furniture pieces can be created with the Bronze Aspen finish. All of the Bronze Aspen tops are hand-brushed with three coats of polyurethane for protection and durability, while the rest of the piece is hand-rubbed with a beeswax and linseed oil combination.
