You will find that all cased pieces have a 1 ¼" solid aspen banding with 7 ply, all wood, aspen top, ¾" solid side paneling, full extension Dynaslide glides, and unique drawer facings hand carved to fit the natural curves and knots of each log. We have recently added English Dovetailing to our drawers as just another quality feature of our custom log furniture. Each log in our aspen log furniture products is carefully hand picked and selected on the basis of character and structural integrity. Each piece is hand peeled or skip peeled and has natural features such as knots, burls and curves which make it unique. A unique tool was developed for this peeling process call a "Draw Knife".Aspen is a superior wood to most pines in that it is much, much less susceptible to insect problems. All of our aspen log products are custom made and hand finished. It's a rustic look with "Old World" quality and construction along with new world mechanical construction advancements. Each dresser, night stand or chest of drawers is individually adapted to the natural curves of the aspen logs. Unique drawer facings are hand carved to fit the natural curves and knots of each log. This process is extremely time consuming but adds tremendously to the unique custom finished look you can expect from aspen log furniture. The heavy duty DYNASLIDE full extension Glides on the drawers of all our aspen furniture feature: · All metal construction with metal ball bearings · Work hardened cold rolled steel · Electro-Zinc plated with clear chromate · Heavy duty, full extension in 1" over travel. Action sequence in both directions by two stage detent function. · Bumpers ensure quiet movement by preventing metal contact.

Each case piece is made from 100% aspen and aspen veneers. All dressers, chest of drawers and night stands have a 1 ¼" solid aspen banding with 7 ply, all wood, aspen top, ¾" solid side paneling, full extention "Dynaslide" glides and English Dovetailed solid Aspen Drawers with 4 sided boxed in drawer bottoms for extra strength. A custom machine called the "Log Tenonizer" was developed for the better quality manufacturing facilities. Every joint can be created for a precise fit. The "Log Tenonizer" allows us to adjust to any size or length of joint thus enabling our pieces to have a custom quality appearance. All log beds and coffee and end tables benefit in look, design and secure joint construction because of the "Log Tenonizer". Green Manufacturing Like all our manufacturers, this aspen furniture maker is sensitive to the environmental issues that are important and essential to our world's future. All the aspen logs and lumber they use has passed through it's natural life cycle and is ready to be cleared in order to provide new growth potential for other trees.
