Carefully crafted from unpeeled 6" white birch logs, the futon frame is mortised and tenoned together to ensure solid and sturdy construction. Since no two trees grow the same, each piece of has its own unique rustic character. This fine piece of white birch furniture comes in a 4-step clear lacquer finish to preserve the natural beauty of the logs.

The front-operating solid wood futon frame is fastened together using a thicker stronger wood not found on most futons. When you purchase the matching Birch ottoman, you can fold down the futon chair and together make a twin size bed.

Some easy assembly is required, and, as with all of our North Star line, this quality rustic log furniture comes with a lifetime warranty.

White birch rustic log furniture does require special care. Birch bark will peel if handled roughly, although it can be easily repaired.

An 8" innerspring mattress is available and will have both coils and foam and offers better sitting/sleeping support.
