This charmingly rustic bed is very similar to our standard Blue Stained Pine Mountain View Pine bed, with the exception that the footboard is shorter. The bed is handcrafted from genuine “blue stain” pine lumber recovered from fallen trees in the Rocky Mountains and will make an attractive addition to your rustic bedroom.

This handcrafted bed features:
– paneled headboard and footboard
– clear-coat catalyzed lacquer finish for lasting durability
– side rails that connect the headboard and footboard with sturdy brackets
– wooden cross slats that support boxspring and mattress
– King and Queen beds come standard with T-support
– each bed will have its own unique stain character and features

The wood used to craft this beautiful and unique furniture is from recovered fallen pine trees in the Rocky Mountains. The “blue stain” is a result of microscopic blue stain fungus that has a symbiotic relationship with bark beetles. The “blue stain” is not always blue, the discoloration shades caused by the fungus can range from blue to brown, gray to orange, or purple to red. The performance and strength of the lumber is not compromised by the fungus staining.

The works of nature such as scoring, tracking, spots, dots, natural decay, along with the effects and coloration from aging, enhances this natural wood. Dimensional lumber gives you a continual contrast of color, texture and patterns.

This handcrafted item generally ships within 5 weeks. As with most of our rustic furniture, this item has free curbside delivery to the lower 48 states! To keep costs down, there will be only one freight driver for your delivery. The freight driver is not obligated to unload your bed from the truck, so if you do not have at least 2 strong people to unload, we recommend the optional lift gate, which will lower your bed from the truck to the ground.
