All Aspen wood used in this rustic log furniture is dead standing wood, and is harvested in an environmentally conscious way. Dresser carcasses and drawers are constructed of kiln-dried, Northern White Pine. Drawer bottoms and backs of dressers are made from select hardwoods.

Drawers are constructed with dado and rabbet joints throughout. Runners and slides for drawers are epoxy coated and carry a lifetime warranty. Using this runner and slide system provides a smooth and easy drawer operation.

The tops of dressers, nightstands and end tables are solid Aspen wood and are a hefty two inches thick. A natural edge is left to all outside edges. Drawer fronts are plain sawed, which leaves a natural edge to the top and bottom and exposes the grain. The log corners and knobs are made from small Aspen trees.

This rustic furniture is finished by first applying a sealer, then a top coat of lacquer is applied. This process brings out the Aspen wood's uniquely attractive grain and naturally enhances each piece.
