You'll be pleased with the quality this manufacturer puts into their hand-sanded beds. Sturdy is the operative word here, with solid 5" logs and joints that are snug and secure. Your bed will include the headboard, footboard, sturdy metal frame, and decorative side rails. Some of our manufacturers ship mattresses and box springs, but this one does not--so you'll need to use the one you have or get one from your local furniture store.

This bed may be left unfinished, or finished in the stain of your choice. If left unfinished, it will darken only slightly with time (unless you put it outside, which seems unlikely--but if you do, it will darken to a silvery gray!)

The manufacturer actually does recommend supports for the queen and king size beds, although for a couple of kids, they're probably not needed.
