The bed is beautiful and seems to be built well. The manufacturing company utilizes the unwanted tops of trees harvested by lumber companies for their poles, which is an environmental plus, too. We used a rubber mallet to help with the assembly as the fit was usually pretty tight. The picture here showing the twin over full isn’t exactly what was sent in that the twin railing had its horizontal poles running all the way to the long verticals without the intermediary short vertical ones shown in the picture. Also, the ladder pole closest to the center of the twin is not in three sections as shown but is just one long pole. This does tend to produce some outward movement in that ladder pole while climbing to the twin. It probably isn’t a drastic safety issue, but we’re going to figure out something to stabilize it better. I don’t know why the changes in the design, but there is a reason, I’m sure…. The cloth covered bunky boards for the full are great-looking, but the uncovered twin bunky boards had three cross rails connecting them together that looked like pallet rejects so we removed them after putting the unit on the twin, flipped all the individual bunky boards over so the bare spots (unpainted) left by the cross-members would be covered by the mattress, and screwed them down from the top to the three main support boards that were a part of the twin bed structure. It now looks a heck of a lot better when viewed from the full bed below. The bed was sent with four short support braces but no indication in the instructions where to install them much less that they even existed. I talked with a very polite and helpful customer support person from the company who said to install them under the twin on the long axis. The instructions also said to insert the supplied screws (I assume they were stainless steel as these are cedar poles) at all assembly points, but there weren’t enough unless forgoing the ones for the middle two rails (on both sides) for the twin which weren’t really necessary anyway. As you can tell, the instructions were a little sketchy. All in all, we are pleased with the purchase.

“The order was late, the workmanship was sloppy, we had to wait to get parts made correctly, then once the bed was together by the manufactures instructions, the bed was poorly made, wobbles like crazy, and does not seem safe to sleep in. In getting into it myself, I was worried I’d break the bed, and have the person above me come crashing down into me.

It’s a great looking bed, but poorly constructed and not something I’d buy again from this company.”
